Legendary highlife singer, sir Victor Uwaifo Olaiya has passed on at the age of 89. According to reports, he was said to have suffered a brief illness after which he was rushed to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital where he breathed his last breath on Wednesday 12th, February 2020. The veteran singer is the father to the late actress, Moji Olaiya who passed on in 2017. Since the news of his demise broke out, Nigerians have started eulogizing him. Also, entertainers and celebrities have since started mourning the late singer. Prof. Sir Victor Uwaifo, is the first African Solo Artist to have a Gold Song (Joromi, 1966). He has 12 Gold records. He is the first Nigerian musician to receive a National Honour (1983). By Brumen John, 22 February 2020. Nollywood actor, Frank Dallas, has died in an hotel room in Abia State. He died on Wednesday 19th, February 2020 while attending a summit in Abia state. Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) PRO Monalisa Chinda-Coker, mourned the demise of the actor with a statement which reads: ”With heart full of sorrow, we announce the sudden death of the immediate past National PRO of GNU, Frank Dallas Ebulukwu". “The National President of AGN, Ejezie Emeka Rollas has declared three days of National mourning and prayers accross all State Chapters including FCT Abuja.’ “In view of this, all official activities of the Guild at all levels are hereby cancelled for three days. She battled stroke and weight issues for a long time in Lagos and was moved to Calabar where she took her last breathe. The actress died on Monday, February 17, 2020, in Calabar, Cross River State. Oseni’s daughter, Augusta Akomolafe confirmed the actress’ death to the National President of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Ejezie Emeka Rollas.
